Lewisboro Volunteer Fair on Saturday, March 3, 11 am to 2 pm
Are you interested in volunteering in the community, but don't know where to start? The Lewisboro Volunteer Fair matches local organizations with community members who want to volunteer. Ten agencies will have tables set up at the Library with information on their services and volunteer needs, so people can browse for the best volunteer activity to suit their interest and availability. Participating agencies include Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Goldens Bridge Hamlet Organization, the League of Women Voters, Lewisboro Garden Club, Lewisboro Seniors, Lewisboro Sustainability Committee, Lewisboro Open Space & Preserves, My Second Home and RideConnect.
New this year will be "Helping Hands" stations for all ages, where people can drop in and make much-needed items to donate to non-profits, such as dog toys for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, and also paint uplifting messages on rocks to distribute throughout Lewisboro for our "Kindness Rocks" program.
