Snowy Day Suggestions from Lewisboro Library

Snow day news and "Shelfie" suggestions from your friends at Lewisboro Library

Wednesday, March 21 - The Lewisboro Library will close early at 12:00 pm today.

The Emoji Magnet program has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 28 at 5 pm.

The Reusable Bag Initiative meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 29 at 7 pm.

You can come in today before noon to get books and media to hold you through the storm, or download books and media through one of our Online Services

Another thing you can do when stuck home on a snowy day is make a difference by taking a "Shelfie"!

What's a shelfie? It's a selfie photo with a favorite book or in front of a bookshelf posted on Twitter/Instagram with the hashtag #MagicofStorytelling. For every "shelfie" posted, Disney will donate a book to the First Book organization. It's an easy way to help a child in need right now. For a guide on how to take and post a Shelfie, click on THIS LINK

First Book is a nonprofit social enterprise that provides new books, learning materials, and other essentials to children in need. It has distributed more than 170 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income families.
Post your shelfie today! First Book & Disney hope to reach one million shelfies posted & books donated by March 31, 2018.

Remember, each shelfie posted to Twitter or Instagram with #MagicOfStorytelling means one brand-new book goes to a child in need. We've already posted ours!
