Madison Life Scout prepares for Eagle Scout project

Matt Kidwell, Life Scout in Madison CT, is preparing for the culmination of his scouting journey – his Eagle Scout project. The hard-working 17-year old will be benefitting Circle Nursery School in North Madison, through his project, helping to improve the play area for the children of the school. Matt will be creating a new section of pathway to the play area, fixing the existing section, repairing the sandbox, replacing the gate, and building two storage seating benches for the playground.

The Hand junior created a GoFundMe page to finance his endeavor, and the funds he raises will be spent on lumber for the sandbox and the gate, stone for the pathway and sand for the sandbox.

He is excited to get started so he’ll be ready to roll when the weather breaks. That means the sooner he has funds to work with, the sooner he can purchase and prep his materials.

As a Life Scout, Matt has given a great deal to his community, and with this crowning project, he will help the Circle Nursery School provide a greatly improved environment for children in his community.

Madison is an awesome network of people doing great things and Matt is the perfect example of this. If you care to help him in his effort, please visit his GoFundMe page. He is most appreciative for the support he’s been receiving from family and friends and would be honored to have more folks join his team!
