The Sharon Thomas Memorial 5k Run/Walk for Cystic Fibrosis is Sunday, September 29th at Walnut Beach. According to Team Cherbear's informative and touching website, which tells the story of Sharon Thomas and her fight with Cystic Fibrosis which began when she was one month old, about 1,000 new cases of CF are diagnosed each year, most by age two. Team Cherbear is active throughout the region in raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, this is their first 5k Run/Walk event.
