
Special Olympics Connecticut will present An Evening with Dr. Timothy Shriver, Chairman of Special Olympics and author of the newly released memoir Fully Alive: Discovering What Matters Most, on Wednesday, December 10th. The evening will include a book signing and discussion, from 6 - 7:30 p.m., at Yale University’s Payne Whitney Gym, 70 Tower Parkway, New Haven. Admission is $25.00, and includes an autographed copy of the book. The book discussion will be followed by a private reception with Dr. Shriver at 7 p.m. in Yale University’s Kiphuth Trophy Room. Timothy Shriver, Ph.D. is Chairman of Special Olympics and, in that capacity, he happily serves together with over four million Special Olympics athletes in 170 countries, all working to promote health, education, and a more unified world through the joy of sports.
In Shriver’s book Fully Alive: Discovering What Matters Most, he shares the life-changing impact of people with intellectual disabilities and their capacity to inspire others.
