New Haven Bed Race is Back!

NEW HAVEN BED RACE IS BACK –

OCTOBER 18TH

DOWNTOWN NEW HAVEN

Do you remember the excitement that was the New Haven Bed Race which took place yearly until 1990? Were you a part of one of New Haven’s iconic traditions that has been copied elsewhere, but never duplicated? Well... your wait to be part of this great event is over. The New Haven Bed Race is back! 

The Associated Irish Societies, which sponsors the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade is partnering with the Farnam Community, which is comprised of Farnam Neighborhood House in Fair Haven and Camp Farnham in Durham. Proceeds from the New Haven Bed Race will assist both organizations serving the New Haven Community.

The race will be held Sunday October 18, 2015 at the New Haven Green beginning at noon. The entry fee for the New Haven Bed Race is $300 per team. Teams must consist of at least five adults. Teams are invited to attend a pre-race “Pajama Party” on Thursday October 15, 2015 beginning at 5pm in Pitkin Plaza. Drawing of post positions will begin at 6pm.
