Meet the Unsung Heroes of Milford Public Schools

Milford Public Schools Custodial Staff

We are proud to announce Milford’s October Heroes of the Month ... the unsung heroes of the Milford Public Schools.  Their daily work consists of going the distance to make sure all the buildings are safe, clean and organized for the day's activities.  They are called upon at all hours to help students, and staff for various odd jobs and get them done without hesitation. THEY, are the custodial staff for the district!

During the summer season, many schools schedule significant renovations.  The custodial team, would work tirelessly throughout the summer to ensure that work is being accomplished in a timely manner.  Often times, these renovations don’t go as planned and work is being completed up to the opening day of school.  This extraordinary group of talented and unyielding men, dug in unquestionably and worked  countless hours to make sure they met their goal of being ready for the first day of school.

Our custodians are always available to everyone with a smile on their face.Their commitment and dedication is wholeheartedly passionate and without them, many extracurricular events would not be as functional as could be. In addition to their summer work and typical day, they also stay after hours to set up for sporting events, school functions, such as open house, award nights, graduations, etc. Furthermore, these individuals are also, simply members of our schools who look our for children and establish connections and would do anything for the well being of our students. Without these wonderful people, we could not succeed and accomplish all that everyone needs to do on a daily basis.

This is why these men ALL deserve to be recognized for  everything they do every single day of their lives as they work so diligently to help others succeed at their jobs.  They are amazing and we are so lucky to have a wonderful group of people taking care of us. Congratulations!
