Raymour & Flanigan Supports Boys & Girls Village at Health & Wellness Extravaganza

Representatives from Boys & Girls Village attended the Raymour & Flanigan Health & Wellness Extravaganza on Saturday, March 23rd to spread awareness about the organization, and its commitment to improving health and wellness. Jolynne Gonzalez and Lindsay Oddo spoke with customers about the work the organization does.

“Health and wellness is an area of strong focus at Boys & Girls Village,” said Jon Oddo, Vice President of Education & Vocational Services. “The services that we provide create better futures for at-risk children and families across the state. Our educational programs and behavioral health services improve life at home and support the health and wellbeing of our clients. They all work together.”

Behavioral health services are the cornerstone of the Milford-based organization’s mission, but Boys & Girls Village also provides permanency planning, such as therapeutic foster care, special education instruction, vocational programs and juvenile justice programming.

“Knowing the work that Boys & Girls Village does, it’s a great choice for our community outreach program,” said Paul Johnson, Raymour & Flanigan Showroom Manager. “I have kids and understand how important it is for them to have a safe environment, good education and a strong support system. I applaud the work Boys & Girls Village is doing.”

Johnson presented the organization with a donation from Raymour & Flanigan.

“We’re grateful for this contribution, and for the opportunity to speak with customers,” said Gonzalez. “People need to know that there’s an organization right here in their community that is doing great work.”
