Ely Center of Contemporary Art Welcomes Six New Board Members

 

The Ely Center of Contemporary Art is pleased to introduce six new members who will strengthen the organization and chart a dynamic path forward.

Bridgeport native Vesta Bortey-Fio is Resident Services Coordinator at Beacon Communities, one of the region’s largest affordable housing developers.

Attorney Dan Burns specializes in housing and eviction issues at New Haven Legal Assistance Association, which he joined after many years in private practice.

Amy Kundrat is Director of Innovation Community at Yale Ventures.

Clara Nartey is an esteemed textile artist with a studio in West Haven whose work was recently featured at the Ely Center.

Aaron Pine is an architect based in New Haven with a passion for historic preservation, who also operates a home inspection business.

Kishwar Rizvi is the Robert Lehman Professor in the History of Art, Islamic Art and Architecture at Yale University.

Ely Center for Contemporary cordially invites you to meet the new board members in person on Sunday, September 10, on the occasion of the opening of eMotion, a show of contemporary illustration, sequential and graphic narrative, and new media work curated by Rebekah Church and Xinyi Liu.
