The Merritt Parkway bridges are nationally renowned for their distinctive and unusual architectural expressions. Wes Haynes, executive director of The Merritt Parkway Conservancy examines their design sources and iconography while giving us a sneak-peek at some recent restorations.
Mr. Haynes is a Stamford resident who has had a 40-year career in architectural preservation. He has taught at the Parsons School of Design in NYC, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, and the Brooklyn High School for the Arts.
