Milford Police Make Arrest in Street Takeover that Took Place on July 8

On July 8, 2023, at about 7pm, a street takeover with approximately 300 dirt bikes, ATVs, and motorcycles drove through Milford causing many traffic delays and violations.

A motorcycle traveling west on the Boston Post Road went through the red light and crashed into a car coming off the exit ramp at I-95 Northbound. The motorcycle got trapped under the vehicle.

Other participants of the street takeover surrounded the car and were able to free the motorcycle from the vehicle’s front bumper. The operator was able to flee the scene prior to police arrival.

After an investigation, the operator of the motorcycle was identified as Jonathan Delgado, 40, of New Haven. On September 11, at 2:11pm, Delgado was taken into custody after a warrant for his arrest was issued by Milford Superior Court.

He was arrested and charged with:

Evading Responsibility

Failure to Obey a Control Signal

Operating a Motorcycle without an Endorsement

Delgado was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on October 10, 2023.
