Milford Businesses Host 2nd Fashion Show to Benefit United Way

The Downtown Milford Business Association is hosting their annual their annual Mother’s Day Fashion Show benefitting the United Way of Milford. You don’t have to be a mom to enjoy this fashion show, which promises great food, boutique fashion, and the chance to win prizes. Purchase tickets here.

Scheduled for Sunday, May 6th at 4pm at the Grassy Hill Country Club, this event kicks off another robust season of DMBA events. Local models will be dressed and styled by downtown Milford boutiques, and guests will enjoy a three-course meal and golf course views from the Grassy Hill banquet room.  Vendors will display select items for sale, including women’s clothing and lingerie, jewelry, accessories, and imported cotton linens, offering the opportunity to shop in house.

“We’re all about bringing the community together,” said Tracy Bonosconi, DMBA President, “and the Fashion Show marks the start of another great season of events. We can’t wait to honor the deserving moms out there, as well as bring the community together for a good cause.”

Downtown Milford has enjoyed a resurgence of new shops, salons, and restaurants along with established local favorites, and the DMBA is dedicated to shedding new light on this community resource. Located right on the harbor, the historic downtown is a destination long known by locals and surrounding communities for its New England charm and easy access to area beaches. The Mother’s Day Fashion Show offers a peek into this thriving business community, all while supporting the increasing need of Milford families through the United Way.

This event is scheduled for 4pm, Sunday, May 6th at the Grassy Hill Country Club, located at 44 Clark Lane, Orange, CT. Tickets for this event are $49 and include a three-course sit-down meal, fashion show, shopping, entertainment, and prizes (14 and older to attend). Vendors include Whispers from Lady Olga’s Lingerie, Vincent’s Jewelers, Galina’s, The Lovet Shop, Sophie Claire’s, Island Time, Blue Lily Cotton, and Envy Salon. For tickets, please click here.
