Milford Performance Center Features Second Annual Pizza Challenge Fundraiser on May 16

This is the third season of the Milford Performance Center (MPC).  It was just midway through 2016 that the concept of Milford Performance Center was just conversation.  A lot has been accomplished since the initial vision of local photographer, musician and entrepreneur Steve Cooper. To date, there have been over 50 bands, soloists, headliners, comedians, acting troups hosted by the Center in just over 2 years. According to Steve, there is “much more excitement on the horizon.  As we define our creative space on Connecticut’s entertainment scene the Milford Performance Center is rapidly becoming a chosen destination for entertainers, agents and producers nationally”.

The 2nd Annual Milford Performance Center Pizza Challenge will be taking place at Colonial Toyota on the Post Road in Milford.  The Proceeds benefit The Charitable Hands Foundation and the New Milford Performance Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization which helps those children and families, throughout our community, in need of food and shelter.

If you go on the Facebook Page “You know you live in Milford” it seems like weekly someone is shouting about their favorite pizza place.  The Milford Performance Center’s Pizza Fundraiser Challenge on May 16th will take place at the Showroom of Colonial Toyota.

How Does this all Work? Well, this is a challenge, you are invited to visit and try several varieties of the Pizza creations in this challenge. Then you decide who you think has the best Pizza creation in the different categories for the peoples choice award. The Celebrity judges will be trying 2 styles from each participant and vote for their favorites in a variety of awards.

Beyond the artistic vision of the Milford Performance Center, there is the key component of their vision… helping those that help others who are less fortunate.  Throughout the season they partner with area 501(c) organizations on creative ways to help raise funds for their causes, collect food for their missions and provide an environment which furthers the cultural experiences of the people they serve.  If you participate in any non-profit fundraisers let Cooper know if the Performance Center can help.
