17th Annual Golf Tournament on September 11th to benefit Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo

The exclusive Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield is once again the site of one of Fall’s most anticipated golf outings: the 17th Annual Golf Tournament on September 11th to benefit Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo. Brooklawn’s sloping greens will offer Zoo supporters some of the area’s biggest—and most beautiful—challenges.

This year’s tournament will feature a 1:00 p.m. Shotgun Start, a grill lunch, buffet dinner and drinks throughout the day, and a hat and swag bag. Plus, golfers will enjoy the Silent Auction and Game Board.

“This is one of the best Zoo events of the year, with an opportunity to play on an exceptional course while raising money for Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo’s mission of conservation and education,” said Zoo Director Gregg Dancho. “The tournament is always a great day out on the links for all the golfers, led by co-chairs Board member William Kelleher and Stuart Zarich.”

Formed in 1895, Brooklawn’s golfing greens were design by A.W. Tillinghast, one of history’s premier golf architects. One of the oldest country clubs in America, this course will challenge and exhilarate even a seasoned golfer with a rating of 72.5 and a slope of 135. Sponsored foursomes are forming now, so don’t miss the opportunity to golf this course. Either foursomes or individual golfers can sign up online at https://www.beardsleyzoo.org/golf.html

A $500 individual or $2,500 corporate sponsorship includes a round of golf, corporate promotion on the Zoo website, e-newsletter and social media, and great food and drinks.
