Glitz! Shines at the MAC through Sunday

“Glitz! The Little Miss Christmas Pageant Musical," Pantochino's holiday family musical completes its critically acclaimed run this weekend at the MAC (Milford Arts Council) on Railroad Avenue in Downtown Milford with performances Friday at 7:30pm and Saturday & Sunday at 2pm.

The family-friendly holiday musical with book and lyrics by Bert Bernardi and music by Justin Rugg is a wildly funny spoof of glitz pageants. Swirling in delicious controversy, the host, Shayde Shames, is at the center of tinsels, tiaras, girls with big hair and their outlandish mothers. While the competition continues, it is the true spirt of the holiday season that wins in this unexpectedly heart-warming musical.

Nationally recognized theatre website BroadwayWorld has hailed the show as "Highly Recommended" and theatre critic Jim Ruocco calls the show "A high-spirited entertainment that delivers its yuletide grab bag of holiday cheer with hard-to-resist anticipation, wallop and potency."
