Downtown Milford Business Association Hosts Two FREE Movie Nights!

The Downtown Milford Business Association is hosting two free Movie Nights in October to drum up some socially-distant outdoor fun for the community and to encourage the support of local restaurants. The films will be screened at Fowler Pavilion, 1 Shipyard Lane.

First up, on Friday 10/9, is Spaceballs The Movie — so put on your PJS, grab your blanket, and enjoy a pajama party with one of Mel Brooks’ classic spoofs.

Then, on Friday 10/16, throw on your best pirate garb for Pirates of the Caribbean hosted by Captain Kidd himself.

“We are so excited to bring some fun back to Downtown Milford—and it’s the perfect way to show a little love to our restaurants right now,” said Tracy Bonosconi, DMBA President. “Our mission is twofold: to create events that bring family and friends together in our beautiful downtown space and to highlight our member businesses. Downtown Milford is not canceled—there are so many shops and businesses that are still here and still open, and we hope to keep creating free experiences that highlight our wonderful community and that make memories to last a lifetime.”

Attendees are encouraged to pick up some takeout to enjoy during the screening, so be sure to check out the local menus and order for pickup before the movie begins!  Movies Nights will be held at Fowler Pavillion from 5 - 9 pm; screening will begin once the sun goes down. This event is free to attend and registration is required in order to maintain proper social distancing.

The DMBA consists of 100 plus businesses located in Downtown Milford, including retail, services, and restaurants, that are committed to working together to create a strong, viable downtown. For more information, please visit www.downtownmilfordct.com
