Organizers of Milford’s Racial Justice Book Club will host their next virtual meeting on February 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss The Color of Law by Richard Rothstein.
The book club was formed to support a Milford Board of Aldermen Justice and Equality Resolution passed last summer to “build alliances with those committed to justice for all and to work together to support our shared conviction that racism must end.” Co-Chair Jolyn Walker said, “Our hope is that these will be meaningful and honest conversations about racial injustice in the small city with a big heart.”
This month’s conversation will be moderated by Professor Yohuru Williams, PhD. Dr. Williams
Dr. Yohuru Williams is Distinguished University Chair and Professor of History and Founding Director of the Racial Justice Initiative at the University of St. Thomas. He received his Ph.D. from Howard University in 1998.
