The Milford Veterans Ceremony and Parade Commission (VCPC) announced that the City of Milford will host a wreath laying ceremony and Memorial Day event on Sunday, May 30, 2021.
The Memorial Day event will take place at 2:00pm on the steps of City Hall and will be preceded by a patriotic-themed performance by The Milford Concert Band at 1:00 pm. Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner, Tom Saadi, will serve as the keynote speaker. At 10:00am on Sunday, May 30, 2021, Milford's Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) along with dedicated volunteers, will hold a wreath laying ceremony beginning at the WW1 monument in front of City Hall and proceeding to the other veterans' monuments on the Milford green. A wreath will be placed at each monument to honor those veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms and liberties we enjoy in the United States of America.
