The Milford Garden Club welcomes Ann Berman, long time environmental activist, former Chair of the Milford Environmental Concerns Coalition, and Co-chair of the ECC’s Freedom Lawn Initiative. Since 1996, Freedom Lawn has advocated for the non-use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers in the yards of Milford, and has sponsored an annual contest to recognize homeowners who garden organically. The Freedom Lawn prescription would lead to less air and water pollution, increased biodiversity, and yards that are safer for children, pets, and wildlife. Making a difference one yard at a time.
