City of Milford Responds to Damage Sustained Due to Tropical Storm Isaias

As the City recovers from the damage left by Storm Isaias, we ask that residents monitor city alerts and be patient as Public Works, UI and our emergency management teams clear roads and restore our power grid.

Residents should continue to stay away from all downed utility wires, and report power outages to the United Illuminating Company (UI Outages: https://www.uinet.com/wps/portal/uinet/myaccount/outages/reportorstatus ).

Over the next days and weeks, City crews will be working to clear vegetative storm debris from our neighborhoods, and Public Works will be announcing the specific requirements for the curbside collection of branches and fallen limbs.

Residents are also reminded that electrical generators should never be run indoors and that safety must continue to be our first priority.

Our overall recovery may take days or weeks, and it is important that we work together to help clean up properties and rebuild our community.

Businesses experiencing outages and/or damage please reach out to Julie Nash at jnash@milfordct.gov or 203-783-3230 24/7.
