Pantochino Teen Theatre Now Registering for "Bubble Boy" Musical

Award-winning Pantochino Productions Inc, Milford’s professional not-for-profit theatre company, is currently accepting registration for it’s Teen Theatre production of “Bubble Boy, The Musical.” The program takes place Saturdays in January and February 2019.

Pantochino Teen Theatre is designed to give young actors, age 12 to 18, the opportunity to learn and work with theatre professionals in creating a fully realized musical production. The immersive theatrical experience is under the direction of Bert Bernardi and Jimmy Johansmeyer with musical direction by Justin Rugg and choreography by Becki Walter.

"Bubble Boy, The Musical" features music and lyrics by Cinco Paul and book by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio.  Based on the 2001 movie, it tells the story of Jimmy Livingston, a boy born without immunities who is forced to live in a plastic bubble and follows his adventures crossing the country to find the girl he loves.

“Teen Theatre is one of our most popular programs,” said Bernardi. “We’re thrilled to bring this sparkling and unique musical to life in this one of a kind theatre experience for young actors,” he added. The program is limited to thirty participants. “Bubble Boy, The Musical” is produced with special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, and the program is sponsored by Dream Vacations and the Devon Rotary.

Rehearsals for the program take place Saturdays from 10am to 3pm at Pantochino's studio space in the former Saint Ann school in Milford with performances at the MAC (Milford Arts Council) in Downtown Milford.
