The First United Church of Christ, Congregational in Milford, an Open and Affirming congregation held a special worship service on June 28 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, and celebrating the birth of the Pride movement they inspired.
The service was festive in tone and featured a variety of prayers and hymns, along with a moving “rainbow litany” and commissioning of those participating in the Stonewall 50 March on Sunday in New York City.
