MPC is pleased to announce the Hero of the Month for September 2019, Officer Joseph Dempsey, Milford Police Department.
Through his work as Milford's Crime Prevention Officer, Joe serves as an integral part of the Milford community. In the spirit of collaboration, and realizing just how intersectional crime prevention is to the work of our community non-profits and coalitions at large, he is always there - solution-focused. It is clear that he believes his work is more than “just a job”.
In our work in the Milford Homeless Outreach Workgroup, he humanizes every problem and the solution; and he has never hesitated to join an outreach effort or take on additional work to support the needs of the group and the more importantly, the individuals that we serve. Professional, kind and dedicated, Joe is very deserving of this recognition.
