The Milford Concert Band Kicks Off Holiday Season at Tree Lighting on November 25

The Milford Concert Band is beginning its 28th season as the Official Band of the City of Milford, CT. On Sunday, November 10 at 2:30 pm, the Band, along with the Mayor’s Office, will present our annual “Milford Salute to Vets” concert at Milford City Hall.  Admission to all band performances is free and the public is invited.  The public meeting room at Milford City Hall has outstanding acoustics for live music and is real treat to perform in.  The concert will feature soundtrack music from the classic NBC miniseries “Victory at Sea” by Richard Rodgers.

The Band begins our holiday season shows at the Milford Tree Lighting on Friday, November 25 at 5:00 pm at the Town Gazebo. The Milford Concert Band will ring out with Christmas and Holiday cheer at Milford City Hall on Saturday, December 21 at 7:00 pm with our annual holiday concert, “A Milford Christmas."  A musical reading of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” will be featured.   On Sunday, December 22 we bring the sounds of the holidays to the Milford Senior Center at 1:30 pm.  Come meet our local seniors and help bring our community musical happiness this holiday season.

The Milford Concert Band is a thirty-piece band made up of local musicians of various talents, from student players, area semiprofessionals, to retirees and performs around twenty shows a year for the public.  We are always looking for new musical talent to join us on Monday evenings at the Fowler Memorial Building for our weekly rehearsal.  Go to our Facebook page for concert updates.  A wonderful concert experience will be had by one and all.
