COVID-19 Milford Recreation Update and Lifeguard Job Openings

The Milford Recreation Department has closed all basketball, tennis, and pickleball courts until further notice effective Monday, March 23rd, 2020. The department has also closed all facilities, playgrounds and suspended all programs at this time. All missed classes will be made up when the threat of COVID-19 has subsided.

While the City encourages families to get out into the community to enjoy our parks, beaches and trails, we want to remind each of you to practice social distancing and to limit the number of individuals in your immediate vicinity.

The Recreation Department takes the well being of our members seriously, we are closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19. We are in contact with the Milford Health Department and will send updates when available.

Thank you for your understanding, stay healthy.

Milford Recreation is now hiring Seasonal Certified Lifeguards to work our beaches Memorial Day - Labor Day.

If you are a certified life guard and are interested in applying, please reach out to Rich Minnix at rminnix@milfordct.gov or by phone at 203-78-3387.
