Storm Recovery Update from Milford Mayor Ben Blake: Electrical Grid Restored by EOD on Saturday

Update from Mayor Blake:

As the City recovers from the damage left by Storm Isaias, we ask that residents monitor city alerts.

UI crews are working to bring neighborhoods back online and the utility estimates that, aside from a handful of individual customers, the electrical grid in Milford will be substantially restored by the end of the day on Saturday.  Given the delay in restoration experienced by residents across Connecticut, I have met with State officials to secure additional resources and demand better accountability for the response of our utility companies.

As we continue the recovery, it is important that we work together to stay safe.  Please check on elderly and less able neighbors who may be facing health challenges associated with the prolonged power outage. Please be careful and take precautions to avoid downed wires and dangerous storm debris.

Thank you for your patience and for your help rebuilding our community.  Be safe, Milford.
