City of Milford COVID-19 Vaccine Information

The Milford Health Department (MHD) is currently partnering with the CT Department of Public Health to provide COVID-19 vaccine as it is available.  Connecticut will begin vaccinating individuals in Phase 1b on Monday, January 18, 2021. In order to ensure that the most vulnerable populations within phase 1b are prioritized, the State of CT has directed the Milford Health Department to begin the phase by prioritizing the vaccine for persons over the age of 75.

All eligible residents are required to make an appointment in order to receive the vaccine. As we approach Phase 1b, please be sure to speak with your healthcare provider about their recommendations for receiving the vaccine. Starting today, individuals over the age of 75 can make appointments in the following ways:

  •          Your Healthcare Provider Will Contact You if they are participating in the Connecticut’s Vaccine Program.  Please do not call your health care provider directly for COVID Vaccine appointments, as not all providers are administering vaccine.  A list of participating providers is available at ct.gov/covidvaccine.
  •          Online: You can schedule an appointment through the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) online by filling out the form located at ct.gov/covidvaccine. After you fill out this form, you will receive an email asking you to register in VAMS and you will then be able to make an appointment based on availability.  For instructions on how to use VAMS, please visit the Milford Health Department website.
  •          Telephone: If you do not have internet access, you can call Connecticut’s COVID Vaccine Appointment Assistance Line at 877-918-2224 Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The City of Milford’s goal is to administer vaccine as quickly as possible. However, we can only do so based on availability of vaccine.  The supply of vaccine at this time does not meet the demand on a national level, so it will take time to be able to vaccinate everyone.  We thank you for your commitment to keeping Milford safe and we ask for your patience as we all work together to bring an end to this pandemic.
