Beth-El Center Extends Services During Heatwave

Beth-El Center homeless shelter and soup kitchen in downtown Milford is providing the following services from Wednesday 8/11 through Saturday 8/14 to assist people during the forecasted heatwave:

Stay Hydrated: Water will be available at our Outdoor Dining area (90 New Haven Ave. Milford) from 9 am to 5 pm daily

Shower Services: Walk-in shower access will be available from 11:30 am-5:00 pm daily
Showers are 20 minutes each; towels and toiletries are provided. Folks are not allowed to wait for the next shower time; please register for an available shower and return to the property at that time. Beth-El provides bathroom access 24-7 to anyone in need

Dining: We're encouraging our clients to eat by the water in the Milford Harbor area behind the library; it will be cooler there than in our outdoor dining area.

Emergency Hoteling: Beth-El will provide emergency hoteling to individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness until Saturday, August 14th at 11 am through Motel 6: 111 Schoolhouse Rd. Milford.
• This referral can be made through our Director of Programs and Facilities, Ruth Menard via our main number (203)876-0747.
