Boys & Girls Village Announces New Leadership Staff

New Vice President of Development and Marketing, Vice President of Human Resources and Director of Residency Services

Boys & Girls Village (BGV), a statewide leader in providing mental health treatment and educational services to Connecticut’s most vulnerable youth and their families, is pleased to announce three recent additions to its Leadership Staff. Scott Gentry joins BGV as Vice President of Development and Marketing, Margaret Osora as Vice President of Human Resources, and Stephanie Bozak as Director of Residency Services.

“Scott, Margaret and Stephanie bring many years of expertise to their respective positions, and we are excited to have them join our dedicated Boys & Girls Village team,” said Dr. Steven M. Kant, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Village. “The need for the services that we provide has never been greater. Scott, Margaret and Stephanie will help our agency continue to grow and provide innovative programs to children and families desperately in need of support.” 

Scott Gentry brings more than two decades of nonprofit administration and fundraising experience to BGV. He has had success with establishing endowment funds and creating impactful grant programs for community foundations. Most recently he served as Director of Development for the Norwalk Community College Foundation.

Gentry, who earned his B.A. from Dartmouth College and M.B.A. from Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business, will work with donors and supporters to ensure BGV continues to secure crucial funding that allows it to serve some of the state’s most at-risk children and their families.

Margaret Osora has held senior-level human resources positions across Connecticut in both the corporate and non-profit sectors during her more than 20 year career. She has worked in all areas of her department including change management, talent acquisition, compensation, and engagement strategies. Margaret spent several years working for large global healthcare companies including Travelers Corp., Bayer Healthcare and Covidien, before deciding to focus on non-profit organizations.

A Connecticut native, Osora received her B.A. from Fairfield University and M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.  At BGV, Osora’s responsibilities include managing and monitoring employee relations and performance, while providing support to department directors. She will also play an active role in the hiring, screening and staffing process for future BGV employees.

Stephanie Bozak, Psy. D., has nearly a decade of experience working with children who have been abused or neglected. Prior to joining BGV, Dr. Bozak held a number of positions, ranging from substance abuse counselor to clinical coordinator for a non-profit agency serving at-risk children and their families. She also has extensive teaching and research experience.

Dr. Bozak received her B.A. from Binghamton University, M.A. from the University of Hartford, and her Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford. Her responsibilities at BGV include overseeing the Kid’s Intensive Needs Network (Kid’s INN), which is a 24/7 Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. She also directs Safe Haven, Connecticut’s only 24/7 residential program for adolescents with problem sexual behavior.
