Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20, Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz will tour Dockside Brewery, the new site of a waterfront brewery, biergarten, and marina in Milford. The brewery had planned on opening earlier in the year, but was unable to do so due to the COVID-19 pandemic, aside from selling their beer through curbside pickup. They will now be opening up their multi-level outdoor space for the public.
Later, she will visit Indian River Shellfish, a small, family-owned business in Madison, to highlight Connecticut's shellfishing industry which generates over $30 million in farm-gate sales annually and provides over 300 jobs statewide. More than 70,000 acres of shellfish farms are now under cultivation in Connecticut’s coastal waters.
