Milford Police Respond to Whole Foods for Attempted Abduction

On December 20, 2017, The Milford Police Department Responded to Whole Foods, 1686 Boston Post Rd, for a complaint of a suspicious encounter/attempted abduction.

Officers met with Whole Foods Employee, a 19-year-old female, who stated that at approximately 1245 hour. She was concluding her break and walking back to Whole Foods from Goodwill (1712 Boston Post Rd).  She stated she was crossing the vacant lot between the two businesses (formerly 1698 Boston Post Rd) and a large white SUV, similar to a Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe, entered the lot from the Boston Post Rd.  She described the vehicle as being slightly dirty with road grime.  The male operator, an older white male with short gray hair, scruffy gray beard, medium build and wearing a white short-sleeve tee shirt asked the complainant for directions.

She approached the vehicle to give the male directions and he reached out through his open driver’s side window and grabbed her arm.   She struggled to break free and had to strike the male’s arm with her soda bottle.  She then ran inside Whole Foods and alerted her manager.

Adjacent businesses were checked for any camera footage (Chase Bank, Goodwill, People’s Bank) and were found to be negative at this time.  No other descriptors of the vehicle were available.

Refer to Milford Police Case # 6466-17 and contact Detective Sergeant DelMonte with any information 203-877-1465.
