Good Samaritans drag injured man away from burning car in Milford

On Saturday, July 28, 2019, at approximately 8:30pm Milford Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on West River Street near Wolf Harbor Road in which a vehicle went off the roadway and struck a large tree causing serious front end damage. The operator managed to crawl out of the vehicle, but was not able to move far from it, as he had suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries to his legs and hips as well as having other internal injuries.

Two good Samaritans, Jake Tymon of Fairfield and Mark Bernier of Milford, dragged the operator away from the vehicle as it had become engulfed in flames caused by the accident. The operator was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Milford Fire Dept. responded and extinguished the fire and the vehicle was completely destroyed.
