Milford Police arrest Napoli Kia salesman issued fake motor vehicle insurance cards to customers

Arrest made from August 2019 larceny. On February 4, 2020, Milford Police took custody of Harold Butler of North Haven in regards to an active warrant for his arrest.

On August 20, 2019, Milford Police received a report from Napoli Kia, 688 Bridgeport Ave, in regards to fraud and larceny after learning that a salesman, Butler, was issuing fake motor vehicle insurance cards for a fee to customers who bought cars at Napoli Kia.

An audit was conducted by Napoli Kia and it was discovered that there were over 100 such transactions. Milford Police Detectives conducted a detailed investigation resulting in the arrest warrant for Butler.

Butler was charged with: Larceny 3rd Butler was released on a $25,000 bond and will appear in Milford Court on March 3, 2020.
