On August 13, 2021, at approximately 7:22 PM Milford Police responded to the area of 63 Herbert Street on the report of a pedestrian struck.
A preliminary investigation conducted by the Milford Police Traffic Division revealed that a vehicle was traveling north on Herbert Street and crossed the centerline in the road. A pedestrian was on the westbound side of the roadway and was struck by the vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road.
The pedestrian, a 60-year-old female of Milford, was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
No charges have been filed yet as the Traffic Division is still investigating the incident.
