Robbery at gunpoint, Milford police make arrest

On December 3, 2022, at approximately 7:01 pm, Milford Police were dispatched to 3 Maple Street, on a report of a robbery at gunpoint.

The victim stated that they listed a vehicle on Offer Up and was scheduled to show the vehicle to a potential buyer. A male arrived on foot and the victim accompanied him on a test drive of the vehicle.

The male drove around the block and returned to the area of 3 Maple Street. They were discussing the price of the vehicle when the male pulled out a black semi-automatic pistol. The male placed the barrel of the pistol to the victim’s head and told them to get out of the car. The victim exited the vehicle and the male suspect fled east on Maple Street.

On December 15, 2022, the vehicle was recovered, and Nathan Akinola was in possession of the vehicle. After an investigation, it was determined that Akinola was the suspect in the carjacking on December 3 rd, 2022. An arrest warrant was secured and Akinola was taken into custody by the Milford Police Department on January 23, 2023, at Adult Probation in Bridgeport.

Robbery 1 st Degree Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit

Akinola was held on a $200,000 bond and appeared in Milford Court on January 23, 2023.
