Milford Police report fraud arrest after man attempts to withdraw funds from M&T Bank.

Milford Police Department reports that on October 15, 2022, M&T Bank at 855 Bridgeport Avenue reported that a male had attempted to withdraw funds from an account at the bank. The male provided identification and information that was later determined to be fake.

According to police, a bank employee recognized the male from previous incidents at the bank where he attempted to make fraudulent withdrawals. The male was positively identified as Daniel Cobb, DOB 10/16/1978. On February 16, 2023, Cobb was taken into custody for an arrest warrant stemming from this investigation.

Cobb was charged with:

Criminal Impersonation (3 Counts)

Identity Theft 3 rd Degree (3 Counts)

Criminal Attempt to Commit Larceny 3rd Degree

Cobb was held on a $20,000 court-set bond and appeared in Milford Court on February 16, 2023.
