UPDATE On March 27, 2023, Edward Henning (DOB 5/4/49), the operator of the Hyundai Elantra, succumbed to his injuries at Bridgeport Hospital. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact PFC Dan Hemperly at (203) 783-4792.
On March 25, 2023, at approximately 12:53 pm, a serious motor vehicle collision was reported near Bridgeport Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.
The collision involved a 2017 Ram 1500 and a 2009 Hyundai Elantra. An initial investigation revealed that the Ram 1500 was traveling west on Bridgeport Avenue and crashed into the Hyundai Elantra when it attempted to turn left onto Cleveland Avenue. The collision caused the Ram to strike a third vehicle, a Hyundai Sonata, which was stopped on Cleveland Avenue.
