AAA Milford Hosts Food Drive To Support Beth-El Center

AAA Northeast invites members of area communities to drop off nonperishable, microwaveable or easy-to-prepare food items at the AAA Milford Branch to help replenish the food bank at the Beth-El Shelter, 90 New Haven Ave, Milford.

AAA’s  3rd Annual Summer Food Drive runs through July 28. There are drop-off bins in the 302 Woodmont Road branch office in Milford.

The branch is open Mondays – Fridays from 9 am – 5 pm and Saturdays from 9 am – 1 pm.

AAA Milford is one of 8 AAA branches that is collecting nonperishable items for local community organizations. The tradition started three years ago to raise awareness that food insecurity is a year-round issue. Over the last year, the economic fall out of the pandemic has created more widespread food insecurity.

“With your help, we know this year’s summer food drive will make a difference,” said Megan Oliver, AAA Milford Branch Manager.
