Beth-El Center Postpones Annual Gala Event

The Beth-El Center homeless shelter and soup kitchen in Milford is postponing their Annual Gala event to the spring of 2022. This fundraising event, to support housing and food programs to end homelessness and hunger, was slated for Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange.

“Due to growing concerns for our community, regretfully we’ve decided to postpone the Center’s Annual Gala event until the spring,” says Jennifer Paradis, Beth-El Center’s Executive Director.  “As an organization that has been committed to providing safe, effective shelter and food programs throughout the pandemic, we’ve decided to pause this in-person donor gathering and wait until we can all be together safely.”

In addition to the spring 2022 event, a virtual gathering will be planned for its supporters this fall comprised of entertainment, the presentation of its Community Star Awards, a testimonial from a former shelter client as well as words from the CT Department of Housing Commissioner Seila Mosquera-Bruno.
