The physical part of Homes for the Brave’s signature fundraiser, the Step OUT for the Brave 40,000 Step Challenge, may be over, but donations will still be accepted through the month of August.
Between Saturday, August 6, and Sunday, August 14 participants from across the country walked or ran to help Veterans experiencing homelessness return to a life of independence. The challenge was named for the 40,000 Veterans experiencing homelessness across the United States on any given night.
Those who were unable to participate still have a chance to make a difference by making a donation through August 31. Please visit http://homesforthebrave.org/stepout2022 to make a contribution.
Located in Bridgeport, CT, Homes for the Brave provides housing, mental health and employment services to Veterans experiencing homelessness, helping them to secure income, build life skills, and make meaningful contributions to our community. Since its founding 2002, Homes for the Brave has helped over 1,500 individuals experiencing homelessness.
“We are honored to serve those who have served us all and invite you to join us in supporting
our Veterans as they strive to return to productive and meaningful lives. Please consider contributing at any level,” said CEO and Executive Director, Vince Santilli.
