
New Haven, CT: Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is proud to announce their inaugural ACES Laces Up for Education expects 300 walkers on October 16! The 2-mile charity walk starts on near the beach at New Haven’s historic Lighthouse Point Park. The walk features beautiful coastal scenery, a post-walk continental breakfast on the beach and rides on one of country’s oldest working carousels! Lighthouse Point Park received the NCA Historic Carousel Award for its character, restoration, and historic significance in 2018!
All participants will receive a custom walk t-shirt with their registration. Walkers can enjoy music, cornhole, science projects for kids, face painting, and much more!
Proceeds from the event will benefit ACES. ACES is dedicated to enhancing and transforming lives through education, innovation, and leadership for over fifty years. ACES is the regional educational service center for the twenty-five communities in New Haven and Middlesex Counties. ACES is both a non-profit service organization and a school district that serves over 2,000 students in three magnets and nine special education schools. ACES’ dedication to better serving its community and its commitment to equity and social justice is demonstrated by the wide array of services and programs offered.
