The Milford Garden Club lunch and program on composting on February 14

The Milford Garden Club will be meeting on Tuesday, February 14th at the D.A.R. Building, 55 Prospect Street, Milford, CT from 11 am to 2 pm.  
 
The general meeting will be at 11am, followed by our delicious meeting luncheon then our program at 1pm, COMPOSTING by Dr. Gregory Bugbee who is an expert in many forms of horticulture and works with the public to solve soil and water related problems a head of the soil testing in New Haven.
 
Join Dr.Bugbee as he explains the best science behind creating compost, or as gardeners call it, "black gold".  Learn how to improve the soil in your yard and gardens by supplementing it with compost.  Also discussed will be how to do soil testing to determined if anything is missing from, or is in too great an abundance, your soil.  Learn how to balance the nutrients so that you can produce the best crop ever whether it is vegetables, fruits, flowers or trees.  Information on getting your soil tested for free will be provided.
