Hiring Counselors for the 2023 Summer Playground Program!
The Recreation Department is looking for dedicated and responsible counselors who have experience working with children.
The program will run from June 26th to August 4th, we are looking for individuals to be fully committed to this time (There will also be a mandatory orientation beforehand). Must be 16 years old to apply.
Applications are available to be picked up in the Recreation Department located in the Parsons Building.

Certified Lifeguards for Milford Public Beaches
We are looking for Certified Lifeguards for Milford Public Beaches between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day. At Milford Recreation, we strive to assemble the most dynamic group of individuals year after year! If you enjoy keeping people safe, enjoy a summer in the sun, and believe that you would be a great addition to our staff, fill out the Seasonal New Hire Application on our website.

- Lifeguards must be 16 years old by the start of their first shift.
- Those who are not currently certified as a lifeguard may still apply if they will be certified by May 26th.
- All Summer Camp Staff MUST be available to work on Tuesday, 7/4/2023 for the Fourth of July.
- The 2023 Lifeguard season begins on Memorial Day Weekend and ends on Labor Day weekend. Applications are available upon request via email rminnix@milfordct.gov and at the Milford Recreation office.
- Applications must be turned in by Friday, March 31, 2023, at 4:00 PM.
