Milford Police say that on April 28, 2023, at approximately 9:41 pm, a serious motor vehicle crash was reported near Bridgeport Avenue and Lansdale Avenue.
"An initial investigation revealed that a 2009 Honda Civic was traveling west on Bridgeport Avenue when the operator stopped for a red traffic signal at the intersection with Lansdale Avenue. The rear of their vehicle was then struck by a motorcycle which was also traveling west on Bridgeport Avenue," according to the police report.
Police identify the name of the operator of the motorcycle, Benjamin Horwath. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact PFC Dan Hemperly of the Traffic Division at (203) 783-4792.
