Pack an overnight bag for your favorite teddy and get ready for holiday fun! The Children's Room team at New Canaan Library is excited to announce its second annual Teddy Bear Sleepover. Come with your child to drop off his/her bear or other stuffed animal at the Library between 3 and 5 PM on Friday, December 4th for a slumber party. Only 100 lucky bears will get to join in the fun so register early for this typically sold-out event.
Hidden cameras will record the animals' overnight adventures. Will they sleep at all? Will the Library survive the madcap antics of the stuffed animals?
Come Saturday morning you can find out. Children and their parents/caregivers are invited to rejoin their stuffed friends at 9:30 AM in the Library and enjoy a delicious breakfast, generously provided by Toddlertime Nursery School. The festivities will culminate in a hilarious slide-show which will reveal the night-time hi-jinks around the library!
Local mom volunteers, Chrissie Schwartz and Elizabeth Janiga, wish to underscore that the event is a fundraiser for the Children's Room. All proceeds from the $20 registration fee will go towards improving the Children's Room and its collections. Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org, or call 203-594-5002 for more information.
