Music on the Hill presents its professional choral ensemble, the Chamber Chorus, performing songs of love and hope in a Thanksgiving concert led by artistic director David H. Connell.
"Songs of Thanksgiving" takes place on Sunday, Nov. 6th at 3 pm. at Wilton Presbyterian Church, located at 48 New Canaan Road (Rte. #106) in Wilton.
The concert features music by contemporary composers -- Aaron Copland, Alice Parker, Eric Whitacre, Arvo Pärt, and New Canaan resident Gwyneth Walker -- "specially chosen for this season when hope and love are in demand," says the conductor.
The Chamber Chorus is known for impeccable a capella performance described as "positively transporting." The group, which performs a spring and fall concert each year, will be showcased here in the beautifully resonant sanctuary of the Wilton Presbyterian Church.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Students are free. Purchase at www.musiconthehillCT.org or reserve in advance at tickets@musiconthehillCT.org or (203) 529-3133.
