A group of New Canaan students are creating the second edition of New Canaanopoly with the goal of raising $25,000 to support the New Canaan Library. The game will be based on the classic board game Monopoly but instead of buying Marvin Gardens and Baltic Avenue, game players will be buying their favorite New Canaan businesses such as Joe's Pizza and Karl Chevrolet with Bankwell money.
There are opportunities to purchase patron bricks ($100), game cards traditionally called Community Chest and Chance ($200), pewter tokens ($300) and advertising opportunities for locally owned businesses and non-profits. New Canaanopoly is an opportunity for the community to participate in a creative advertising platform while benefiting an organization that has served the New Canaan community for so many years.
The game will be available on November 3rd and can be wrapped for the holidays.
