New Canaan Community Dialogue on Nov. 28: Infrastructure Needs and Educational Services

The next opportunities for the New Canaan general public and stakeholders to offer input for the Town’s 10-year Plan of Conservation and Development are November 28  and  December 14  at Town Hall.

On November 28 the topics will be Infrastructure Needs and Educational Services.

Housing and the Downtown will be the topics during the December 14 Dialogue Event.

The meetings start at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Town Meeting Room.

The Community Dialogue Events are the third phase in the Town POCD Subcommittee’s work to obtain the public’s opinions and suggestions on a broad range of subjects related to New Canaan’s future – from housing and economic development to parks and open space.

New Canaan is updating its Plan of Conservation & Development, commonly referred to as the POCD, which the State requires of all municipalities every ten years. The planning document is intended to guide growth and development as well as identify strategies to protect important resources and attributes. The plan sets the table for many initiatives the town may undertake.
