It's hard to believe with chilly temperatures not far behind us, but summertime is fast approaching. It is now time to start thinking of local summer programs for your kids. The "Kids on the Go" Camp at Bright Beginnings offers a fun, safe program that will ensure your children are having the summer of their lives. Mary Arnold and Susan Hamilton have been hard at work with creating a curriculum specifically designed for school age children. " This age group wants to act cool and have fun, but our emphasis must be the safety of the children." Bright Beginnings finds ways to do both. "No matter how wonderful it seems to us, the kids must want to come!" The town buzz has gotten out that last summer was amazing and the kids refer to their past summer camp experiences as being "Totally Awesome!"
The staff is comprised of Professional Adult Counselors. MaryAnn, the School-Age Coordinator, has trained her staff to be fun and interactive and 100% involved with the kids. The importance of Staffing, Security, and Safety is instilled into our staff training. Many of the counselors hold additional degrees in Early Childhood Education and all hold various certificates in CPR and First Aid Training. When the summer sun is beating down and temperatures get too high, the camp heads into the air-conditioned facility to allow campers to rehydrate and cool down. The camp facility is also guarded by "Q See", a 24-hour surveillance and AAA Security Systems.
Kids at Bright Beginnings have the opportunity to choose what they love with options from both The In- House Mini Camps and Outdoor Adventure Camp" and exciting themes like Mystery Adventures, and Crazy Jungle Explorers. Parents love the fact that they also squeeze in some education. Their reading program includes the Governor's Reading Challenge, Public School Math/Reading Packets & participation in the NF Library Programs. True to Mary Arnold's nature, Bright Beginnings works with local organizations to give campers unique learning opportunities. They will get the inside scoop and learn writing skills from the staff at Citizen News. They will become Junior Fire Cadets with Mike Gill and see up close the local fire stations. They will also explore culinary cooking skills from Chef Yurio, from Events Catering, and photography from Integrity Imaging, They will receive Theater Training from Jennifer Alfaro Martinez who will teach improv, and story telling skit acting.
This is one summer of fun you don't want your kids to miss and with many camp options to choose. Parents can rest assured that the experience and care of the staff at Bright Beginnings are sure to keep your kids safe and entertained all summer long.
