The President asks all Americans to unite in prayer and remembrance on Memorial Day
President Trump has signed a proclamation directing U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff nationwide beginning immediately until sunset on Sunday, May 24, 2020, as a mark of solemn respect for the victims of the coronavirus pandemic.
Accordingly, since no flag should fly higher than the U.S. flag, all other flags – including state, municipal, corporate, or otherwise – should also be lowered to half-staff.
In addition, Trump proclaimed Memorial Day, May 25, 2020, as a day of prayer for permanent peace, and asked all Americans to unite in prayer at 11:00 a.m. on Memorial day.
He further asked all Americans to observe the National Moment of Remembrance beginning at 3:00 p.m. local time Monday May 25th, 2020
